On blogging
Nov 11th, 2005 by Accidental Thinker
Should one write when one is not in a writing mood? I have the time at the moment, but not the inclination. There is not a creative spark in my head. This blogger acutely realizes that she hasn’t written anything original here in nearly a week. My sister called the other day to demand more posts, but they just aren’t in me right now. I’m going to go visit some other blogs instead.
I’ll be out of commission for the next few days as I am traveling for work, but I’ll be back next week with new material. Traveling always gives me inspiration. To tide you over, my loyal and appreciated readers, I’m once again pointing you to some older entries.
Embedded in this one is one of my very favorite stories about Maia:
This entry is the one that landed my first regular reader who was not a personally invited family member or friend:
And this one, just because I need it at the moment:
;0) Travel safe. We’ll be here when you get back.
I used to have to travel as part of project teams, too. I left you a comment about it on my site. Take care.
Have a good trip!
I’ll read these links. I’m sure they’re good.
Be safe. And enjoy.
Have a good trip and come back with your muse in tow. 😉
Don’t work too hard.
I’ll check back with you in a few days.
Three good reads. Thanks for re-posting them. I remember the one about you daughter. It was just as good this time.
Enjoy your time away, even if it is for work!
Be safe while traveling. As to your general question… I dont hold to the post once a day technique that is so prevelant in the blogosphere as I want to write a quality blog; however, there is nothing that will decrease readership faster than not posting. My life recently took a rediculously busy turn and I have not been able to post as I have been too busy putting out fires. Within the last week I have watched my readership go from 20 some odd people per day down to 5. You also run the risk of hitting writers block. Sometimes the simple act of writing itself is necessary inorder to stir up new ideas and the desire to write. Just my opinion on the matter.
