Tragedy strikes
Feb 24th, 2006 by Accidental Thinker
Friends, a moment of silence, please. We had a great tragedy occur in my household yesterday, and I need all the sympathy you can muster. I have discovered… I can’t say it… give me a minute… a gray hair! My darling husband confirmed, perhaps a little too gleefully, that the offending hair was, indeed, gray. Gray! I say was, because that lone gray strand did not survive my wrath. The objectionable eyesore could of course not be allowed to remain—I yanked it right out of my head and dare it to try to grow back. The fight is on!
Yesterday I pulled two WHITE hairs from my thirty-one year old head.
It begins…
Welcome to the club.
Oh no, I’m sorry you’ve been hit by the gray hair! I found my first one when I was 21, how sad is that?! Ahhh, genes are a wonderful thing.
I was already to say a quick prayer for your needs….then….grey hair! Hah, sorry, I’m going to save my prayers for those more in need.
I started by pulling them out too, but you get to the point where you realize your going to be bald if you keep it up!
Be careful with that! You don’t want to end up bald! I find hair dye a more effective solution! Good luck! (PS: I’m certain it’s kids, not age, that does it to us!)
One?! Oh shut up!!
;o)
Heeheehee, you ain’t grown up til you have a few stray greys. Don’t fret, there’s always Miss Clairol.
Geez, I thought the goldfish died or something else serious! Whew, my heart is still pounding.
P-L-E-A-S-E ! One grey hair. How much sympathy would you expect from me? Have you seen my picture lately? My philosophy now… BETTER GREY than GONE! ~ jb///
I don’t mind mine turning gray. I just wish they would quit turning loose.
I do not feel sorry for you! I found my first gray hair when I was 23 and have battling them ever since. Okay, I feel bad for you. It’s a travesty! Be careful pulling them out. I did that with several and a few days later I had short little gray hairs sticking straight up! It was worse than the whole gray hair.
Be fruitful and multiply…..that’s what happens when you pull one….LOL
You get no sympathy here, with only one grey hair. Even an economy sized bottle of Grecian Formula couldn’t begin to change me back.
Speaking professionally…
Have you ever seen those women whose gray hair stands straight out? That’s what happens when you pull it out — it grows back more coarse each time. Before long it will stand at attention. Best to let it lie and mix in. 😉
My motto since finding my first at age 19 is, “Better Gray than GONE!”
